I have a lot of eye twitches an body tingling that i would like to minimize. I know its from anxiety and i was told that i need to just relax. Any good websites are good too! Im going to start doing yoga and burning insense. I heard that relaxes people.Answer: Relaxing is a very individual thing, you have to find what would work for you and something that help get your mind occupied with something you enjoy, whether it's sitting isolated in a room in silence, or taking a bath with oils that could provoke relaxation, (this worked for, i used lavender as my choice with scent). Do yoga; it relaxes your body, and helps clear your mind. Lay on your bed or sofa, have some soft music playing in the background (or nature Cd's) and listen to ocean waves, waterfalls, or birds. Some new age music is very relaxing (such as Enya) Do the activities or hobbies that relax you (fishing, sewing, singing, painting, taking photographs), whatever it is that keeps your mind off the things that normally stress you out, or things that you just need a break from every now and then. ![]() Relaxation Techniques?Question: I was at the doctor this morning and the ultrasound technician told me I had one follicle that was 19mm, which means I should be ovulating in the next couple of days. However, every time I ovulate I get so nervous about conceiving that my heart rate rises and I just lie in bed thinking if this monty will be the month. Thus, I was wondering if anybody knew of some good relaxation techniques. I had also heard that some people take magnesium so I am starting to consider this as an option. Any advice? Thanks!Answer: I read in a book that instead of getting nervous, try to visualize throughout the day about being fertile and after intercourse visualize the sperm meeting the egg and what it will be like to be pregnant. Perhaps a medatation tape/cd that you like? Thanks!Answer: Best basic one is to light a candle and sit comfortably in front of it. Pick a quiet area with no overt odors or smells if possible (even nice ones). Then, inhale deeply for 3 seconds and exhale that breath slowly over 10 seconds while focussing strictly on the flame. Repeat for about 3-5min. Stretching is also very, very helpful in reducing somatic stress that happens when the mind is stressed. Take a few minutes every morning and afternoon to do basics.
